About Our Paint Coating Company

Since Rhino Shield by Georgia Coatings’ beginnings in 2000, we have become a recognized leader in the premium wall coating industry. We develop and provide durable and long-lasting ceramic coatings for walls, roofs, decks, and any other exterior home painting. But we aren’t satisfied, we continue to strive to improve our products, application methods, and overall performance. Our 25-year, fully-transferable warranty is a testament to our belief in our products. Put simply, we trust them to last that long because they will.

The Early Days of Our Atlanta Company

Rhino Shield by Georgia Coatings started in 2000, but our story began long before. We believed that there must be a better solution to latex house paints. Something that would outlast the three to five-year lifespan of what was on the market, and something that maintained the bright and clear color of a freshly painted house. We believed that ceramics were the key to durability and the ability to resist degradation by UV rays. The result is the coating that has made us an industry leader.

Our Coatings in Atlanta Aren’t Paint

Rhino Shield by Georgia Coatings is not a paint. Technically, it is a ceramic elastomeric coating. It outperforms paint at almost every turn. It has 80% solids to water, paint only has 40%. Rhino Shield by Georgia Coatings is applied eight or nine times thicker than normal paint which lends to its longevity. It is more environmentally friendly than most paints, increases your home’s value, and even adds insulative properties to your home, saving on heating and cooling costs.

Paint doesn’t do that.

In-Depth Product Testing

We knew we had a winner with the formulas we developed, but we wanted to be sure. So, we enlisted outside help. BASF independently ran their own tests and confirmed that our coatings resist extreme temperatures and weather scenarios. They resisted stretching, cracking, peeling, vapor exchange, elongation and showed high tensile strength. The National Fire Protection Association ran fire resistance testing on our products, and we were awarded a Class A fire rating. That means our coatings are highly resistant to fire ignition.
