Between Sawnee Mountain and the western shore of Lake Lanier, Forsyth County homes deal with more moisture than the rest of the north metro. Fiber cement outlasts the paint on it by decades, which is the whole argument for coating it once and properly. Rhino Shield is ceramic, laid on at 10 to 12 mils at minimum, roughly nine times what rolls out of a paint can, and it holds through freeze and thaw without hairlining at the butt joints. Instead of another repaint inside five years, the 25-year warranty carries over to whoever buys next.
