Newnan earned the name City of Homes honestly. Six National Register districts, Cole Town, College-Temple, Platinum Point and the Greenville-LaGrange blocks among them, hold antebellum and Victorian houses whose wood siding, turned porch posts and deep trim are slow to prepare and quick to fail under conventional paint. Owners there are the ones who most often ask what happens if they sell, and the answer is that the 25-year warranty is fully transferable. The cotton mill village houses nearby were built plain and have absorbed decades of repainting since. Out at SummerGrove, White Oak and Arbor Springs it is fiber cement, vinyl accents and painted brick from the 1990s onward, now facing a second or third coat. Coweta heat and hard afternoon sun push both kinds of wall the same way. Rhino Shield is a ceramic coating that carries the build of eight to ten paint coats, a minimum 10 to 12 mils, and it stays keyed to the surface instead of flaking away from it.
